Our Policies
Please take your time reviewing this information. I’ll always do my best to communicate with you openly and clearly, and I ask that you do the same as my client. Thank you for taking the time to read through everything and for your interest in working with me!

You must be 18 years of age or older to receive a tattoo in New York State. See Section 260.21 of the New York State Penal Law.
All appointment inquiries must be submitted via email to lextattoos95@gmail.com or through the booking forms on my website.
When submitting an inquiry, please include:
Your full name and cell phone number
A description of your desired tattoo, including the style, approximate size in inches, and whether you’re interested in color or black and grey
The desired placement
Your budget
A $75 nonrefundable deposit is required to secure your appointment. You may pay your deposit in cash at the shop or through your Goldie appointment link. Deposits must be paid within 72 hours of scheduling or your appointment may be forfeited and offered to another client.
If you choose to pay through Goldie, a platform fee will apply. Your $75 deposit will be applied toward the total cost of your tattoo.
Once we’ve discussed the details of your tattoo, I’ll provide you with a price estimate. The remaining balance is due in cash at the time of your appointment.
You’ll receive an email with your tattoo design at least 24 hours before your scheduled appointment.
A valid form of ID is required at your tattoo appointment.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give me as much notice as possible.
You can cancel your appointment through your Goldie appointment link up to 100 hours before your scheduled appointment. I also ask that you email me directly to let me know about the cancellation.
All deposits are nonrefundable.

Aftercare Instructions

Keep it on approximately 48–72 hours.
Remove sooner if it begins leaking or your skin becomes increasingly red or irritated.
Showering is okay, but don't submerge the tattoo or get excessively sweaty.
Pooling ink, blood, and plasma underneath the bandage can be normal.

Remove after 4–6 hours, or the following morning if you received your tattoo in the evening.
Gently wash with unscented soap.
Pat dry and allow the tattoo to air dry for 10 minutes.
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor.

Gently wash twice daily with unscented soap.
Pat dry with a paper towel and allow to air dry.
Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor.
Avoid over-moisturizing.

Continue washing twice daily.
Once the tattoo begins naturally flaking/scabbing, stop using Aquaphor and switch to an unscented lotion.

Continue washing and moisturizing at least once daily.
Dryness, flaking, itching, and light scabbing can be normal.
Most tattoos take approximately 2–3 weeks to heal.
Until Your Tattoo Is Fully Healed:
Avoid prolonged sun exposure.
Avoid excessive sweating.
Do not submerge the tattoo in a bath, pool, ocean, hot tub, etc.
Avoid tight clothing over the tattoo.
Do not apply sunscreen until the tattoo is completely healed.
Don't scratch or pick at the tattoo.
Something Doesn't Seem Right?
Some redness, tenderness, itching, dryness, flaking, and scabbing can be part of the normal healing process. If you experience something that seems unusual, such as a rash, bumps, excessive pus, significant bleeding, or anything that feels concerning, please contact Lex as well as your doctor or dermatologist.
